At the end of each summer, the Basque Coast pays tribute to one of its most illustrious residents: Maurice Ravel, the iconic 20th-century composer. The Ravel Festival is a major event on the classical and contemporary music scene, lighting up Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Ciboure, Biarritz, Bayonne, and the entire Basque Country.

Founded in 2020 through the merger of Musique en Côte Basque and Académie Ravel, the Ravel Festival continues the deep bond between the composer and his native land. Ravel was born in Ciboure in 1875, overlooking the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
The festival celebrates both classical music heritage and contemporary innovation, bringing together young talents, international soloists, and renowned ensembles in a warm yet refined atmosphere deeply rooted in Basque culture.
