In early June, the iconic Côte des Basques comes alive with the Casetas de Biarritz — one of the Basque Country’s must-attend festive events. Held by the ocean, these temporary open-air bars and food stands offer six days of celebration, music, and local cuisine in a stunning coastal setting. The Casetas are organized by local associations, sports clubs, bandas, and Biarritz shopkeepers. Each group sets up its own caseta (stand/bar), serving up Basque specialties in a laid-back, cheerful atmosphere.
Every evening, the party heats up with bandas, DJ sets, live music, traditional Basque songs, and sunset drinks by the Atlantic Ocean.
